“The self” exhibition (Gallery 1313 – March 1 to 12, 2017)

My new exhibition was open from March 1 to 12, 2017 at the Gallery 1313 (Wednesday – Sunday, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm; 1313 Queen Street West Toronto, ON)

Reception was on Thursday, March 2nd at 6:30 pm.

10 works were displayed at the Cell Gallery (a separate room in Gallery 1313). Collection was created under inspiration after studying the works of the renowned psychoanalyst C.G. Jung. Each work had a psychological explanation and connection to my paintings. 4 works were sold.

“The Self” reveals the symbolism of our unconscious, and also the influence of animus/anima in the formation of our psyche. Beginning with ancient times, man turned to symbolism in attempts to express himself, and to this day we are faced with the fact that this is the only way available to us to express the needs of our soul and make life more meaningful.
